Most people are used to those old-school quartz or halogen tubes with the tungsten filaments. We did things differently here. We swapped the metal for carbon fiber. It sounds like a small tweak, but it completely changes how the lamp handles heat and pushes out energy. The power side of things At 2000W, this thing is a beast. It’s built for the heavy lifting—medium to large industrial jobs where you need a lot of heat, and you need it now. One of the best parts? Carbon fiber doesn’t stretch or sag when it gets hot. You can crank it up and down rapidly without worrying about the element snapping or drooping. It hits operating temperature fast. Really fast. Why the materials matter We wrapped that carbon core in high-purity quartz glass. We did this so you can push the surface temperature to the limit without the glass getting cloudy or, worse, cracking under the pressure. It keeps the heat steady and consistent from one end of the tube to the other. Plus, carbon fiber is tougher than metal coils. It doesn’t oxidize nearly as fast, so the lamp lasts longer even when you’re pushing it hard. If your process involves switching the power on and off constantly, this is where you’ll really see the difference. It just handles the shock better. A few things to keep in mind Before you plug this in, double-check your power supply. 2000W is a heavy load. If your voltage starts dipping, you’re going to kill the lamp’s lifespan. And a word of caution: this lamp puts out an intense amount of heat.**Don’t skim on your reflectors or cooling fans.**If you don’t give that ambient heat a way to escape, you’ll end up melting your own wiring and connectors. It usually drops right into most high-power IR systems, but just do yourself a favor and check the physical size and the connectors before you start the install. Better safe than sorry.
